Submission Guidelines
Submissions must meet the specifications outlined here: Metaphor Cover Contest Instructions.
All entries must include the journal name, Metaphor, on the cover. Entries must also include the journal name, the year, and the volume number (we are publishing our 32nd edition) on the spine. The institution name, Weber State University, must appear on the back cover. All entries must be submitted in .pdf format.

Theme
This year, we are introducing a new aspect of our flash fiction and cover contests -- a theme! The theme for Metaphor 2013 is water to compliment the university-wide theme.
The use of the theme is meant to provide a sense of unity to submissions as well as inspiration to those submitting. However, it is not required that submissions include the theme. A non-themed submission can win just as easily as a themed submission. But we still encourage those choosing to submit to use the theme!
